Who We Are

SB Global was established in 1991 and currently maintains its corporate office and primary warehouse in Montgomeryville, PA outside of Philadelphia.  The company was originally structured as a traditional export trading house but began marketing and distributing its own brands in the mid-1990’s.  These brands included Rocky Mountain Marshmallows®, Pretzel Pete® gourmet snacks, and a branded ready-to-eat popcorn product. 

The company is a proud member of the National Association of Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) and has actively participated in the prestigious Fancy Food Shows for many years. Additionally, the company regularly participates in overseas trade shows either directly or through its local importers. SB Global is a two time winner of the coveted Pennsylvania Governor’s Export Excellence Award and the company’s president, Karl Brown, is a frequent speaker on international trade topics.  In 2003, Mr. Brown was appointed to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Processed Food ATAC providing advice on international trade policy to not only the USDA but also to the U.S. Trade Representative’s (USTR) office.

In 2004, the company sold the Rocky Mountain Marshmallow-brand to Doumak, Inc. Doumak, based outside of Chicago, is one of the top two largest marshmallow manufacturers in the United States .  In addition to the Rocky Mountain-brand, Doumak also manufactures the well-known domestic American-brand Campfire® marshmallows (Campfire Marshmallow website) .  SB Global Foods, Inc. acts as the exclusive sales and marketing agent for all Doumak’s products outside of North America. 

SB Global’s Pretzel Pete® brand is available in the U.S. through a wide variety of outlets ranging from small independent retailers to national specialty and gourmet chains.
